Easter with the 12 apostles

We left Kangaroo Island and picked up a rental car for our 4-day drive to Melbourne along the Great Ocean Road. We were treated to a free upgrade by Avis, so we did the Ocean Road in style in a Holden Commodore. The Holden (same as GMC) has the best logo we've seen and had the best pickup of all the cars we've driven so far.

The Great Ocean Road is famous for the dramatic views over the Southern Ocean, and is one of the most-photographed spots in Australia. This photo shows 5 of the 12 Apostles, large limestone formations that rise out of the water. We arrived on Easter, which was cold and cloudy and full of daytrippers. We like it better when all these people are at work and we have the country to ourselves.
